Clinical Trials Directive Review - public consultation deadline: 8 January 2010

The European Commission has published an assessment of the "Clinical Trials Directive" for consultation. This assessment considers various options for further improving the functioning of the "Clinical Trials Directive" with a view to remedy shortcomings and unintended negative consequences while taking the global dimensions of clinical trials into account. The Commission has published its document Assessment of the functioning of the "Clinical Trials Directive" 2001/20/EC - Public Consultation Paper. The consultation period will last until 8 January 2010.
