Announcement of independent review of the regulation and governance of medical research

The Prime Minister, Lord Mandelson, Secretary of State for Business Innovation and Skills, and Andy Burnham, Secretary of State for Health, have announced an independent review of the regulatory and governance framework of medical research. The government has asked the Academy of Medical Sciences to conduct a rapid independent review of the regulation and governance of medical research.
