Title: UKCRC Clinical Trials Unit Registration Process

The UKCRC Clinical Trials Unit Oversight Group has issued a second call for UKCRC-Registered Clinical Trials Units.

Clinical Trials Units in the UK working in any disease/topic area and responsible for leading the design, the central/national coordination and the overall analysis of multi-centred randomised controlled trials and other well designed studies that able to demonstrate the following completencies are invited to apply for registration:

  • a track record and experience of coordinating multi-centre clinical trials and other well-designed studies
  • presence of a core team of expert staff to develop studies
  • presence of robust quality assurance systems and systems to ensure adherence to research governance standards
  • resources to provide adequate and stable infrastructure and senior staff as well as an ability to ensure continuity of the core disciplines.
