Dementia Carers Count: Professor of Family Care
A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated
individual to join our team at the Association for Dementia Studies as
the Dementia Carers Count: Professor of Family Care. Dementia Carers
Count (DCC), formerly known as the Royal Surgical Aid Society, are
joint funders of this post alongside the University of Worcester.
Could this be the job for you?
You will be a successful and experienced researcher in the field of
dementia care and support. You will enjoy working in partnership with
people and families affected by dementia and have experience of
working with a range of health and care providers in improving the
quality of person centred practice. You will also have a good track
record in leading research projects, income generation, teaching,
research supervision, publications and dissemination.
If successful, your work will focus wholly on the development of a
research and knowledge exchange portfolio around family care and
dementia. This new professorial post will benefit from being part of a
well-established multi-professional group of educationalists,
researchers and practitioners at the Association for Dementia Studies.
In addition, you will work closely with Dementia Carers Count
providing a real opportunity to help embed research into innovative
practice in family care and support. You will provide a high profile
role for the charity and be part of the senior leadership team within
the Association for Dementia Studies.
