Senior Clinical Trials Manager (135454)
Grade 8: £39,992 – £46,336 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Trials Manager
to join the Oxford Clinical Trials Research Unit (OCTRU) which is part
of the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and
Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS), based in the Kadoorie Centre at the
John Radcliffe Hospital.
As a Clinical Trials Manager, you will have operational oversight of
the growing portfolio of musculoskeletal trauma and rehabilitation
research projects. You will work with Senior Trial Managers, the
Oxford Trauma Research Manager, Senior Information Specialists and
other members of the senior teams, and will be responsible for leading
the trial portfolios operationally. You will have access to the Oxford
Clinical Trials Research Unit (OCTRU) training and personal
development programme, and will also be involved in the development of
new trial protocols ensuring that all appropriate documentation,
reviews and approvals are in place.
You will hold a degree in a relevant biomedical or associated subject.
Extensive experience in setting up and managing multiple complex
clinical trials as well as an in-depth working knowledge of existing
UK clinical research structures, GCP and regulatory and ethical
systems is essential. You will have experience of line-managing
clinical trial staff, including providing training on clinical
research topics. You will also have experience of QA systems, trial
audit and monitoring applicable to clinical research, including
development of written procedures for clinical trials run to high
levels of GCP. Experience of clinical research in
trauma/musculoskeletal sciences/rehabilitation and/or relevant
qualification(s) in trial management, project management, and/or
quality assurance is desirable.
